MEET OUR PRESIDENT
RICHARD GORMLEY / PRESIDENT
Richard Gormley is the President and owner of Rogo Search, The Physician Source. He owned and operated Rogo Search for ten years (1995-2005) before selling the company to HealthCare Resource Solutions in 2005. HCRS was a large international search firm and the HealthCare Division included healthcare executive recruitment, physician recruitment and advanced practice recruitment. After fulfilling a two year commitment Richard and his team restarted Rogo Search. He has over twenty years of physician search experience in all aspects of the healthcare industry including academic, managed care, university systems and the traditional private practice model.
Mr. Gormley has worked with many national healthcare systems starting with the Mayo Health System, University of Pittsburgh Health System, the University of Pennsylvania Health System, multiple Childrens Hospitals that include Los Angeles Children’s Hospital, Monroe Carell Childrens Hospital at Vanderbilt, Childrens Hospital of Pittsburgh, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia among others. He and his team have successfully fulfilled international searches in Ireland, England & Spain. Mr. Gormley’s comprehensive background in physician search has provided his clients with solutions for their physician staffing needs and he and his team have successfully concluded over twenty five hundred physician searches representing all medical specialties as well as numerous clinical leadership positions.
He is an active member of the National Association of Physician Recruiters (NAPR), a 400+ member organization which oversees the standards and ethics in the physician recruitment industry.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Management Operations from the business school at Villanova University and completed the small business ownership program from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. Richard and his wife Mary Jo live in Malvern, Pennsylvania with their four children, John, Meredith, Greta and Michael.
Mr. Gormley has been a lifelong participant with the Friends of St Christopher’s, a premier children’s hospital in Philadelphia and has served on numerous school boards including St Joseph’s Prep, The Episcopal Academy, The Country Day School of the Sacred Heart and St. Aloysius Academy. He is also a member of the American Ireland Fund and is a board member for the Kelly Rooney Foundation, which is dedicated to research that will help diagnose and eradicate breast cancer in young woman and is part of the Abrahamson Cancer Center of the University of Pennsylvania.
